Word Punch Board Review: Your next Must-Try Crafting Gadget
There are those who love their kitchen gadgets. And then there are those like myself, who love trying out new crafting gadgets! I came across this fun little item called the word punch board, which is rather handy for those who work with a lot of paper crafts.
There are different variations of the word punch board. The one I ultimately chose includes all 26 English alphabet characters. Although there are other ones with fewer alphabet letters, however, many of the letters overlap and you’d have to finagle with the settings to get the correct letter. It’s just one or so extra steps but still just as fun to use.

I ordered mine on Aliexpress but you can also purchase it through Amazon. I did find the one on Aliexpress to be a little bit cheaper despite it taking longer to arrive to me. If you’re willing to wait a little bit longer to save, you can get the this for about 50% off from the price it sells for on Amazon.
The packaging it comes in is very cute and compact. All the letters are in neat order and ready to use. There is no setup for this type of word punch board. All you have to do is place a piece of craft paper on the stamping area, select and place the letters you want to use to make out the word on top of the stamping area over the craft paper, then press the handle down to cut the letters out of the paper.
Here’s how it works. The board itself holds up to 10 slots, so 10-letter unique words and/or phrase combinations are the most you can do in one go (if your word or phrase has double letters, you’ll need to punch twice or however many times a duplicate letter appears).
The board has little grooves to help you with spacing letters. This makes it easier if you’ve got duplicate letters in a word or phrase you need to work with. This way you don’t lose your position and you can get an evenly spaced result. You can leave as much space in between letters as you like.
It’s very simple to use and so fun. I love using it for scrapbooking, card making and when writing in my journal. Take a look at some of these cute ideas:
