Overstock.com’s Club O Program – Worth it or not?
To answer this post title’s question – is Overstock.com’s Club O Program worth it?
Absolutely!
If you’re thinking of spending a minimum of $400 on Overstock in a years time, you’ll break even from the $19.95 membership cost.
Whats Club O?
Overstock.com is an online retailer selling mostly home goods. They do sell apparel but their bigger focus is on home decor and furniture. They’ve got a membership program called Club O and it is NOT a credit card you apply to. It is just a loyalty program where you accumulate a balance after making purchases and leaving reviews. The membership is only $19.95 a year. For me, it’s totally worth it!
What’s Include in the Club O Membership?
Overstock’s Club O program’s got 5 major perks (see above). Essentially:
- You get 5% “cash back” rewards on every purchase and there’s NO limit.
- Free returns – You can either get the money back into your original payment or for in-store credit. The company does an excellent job of handling returns.
- Price Matching – I wish I had known about this one earlier on! There were several times I purchased the same items on Wayfair.com because it was cheaper (even with the 5% cash back).
- They’ve got an “Extra Rewards Store” which features additional items for sale that give you extra cash back rewards … some as much as 40% cash back! That’s an amazing deal! Imagine purchasing something for $100 and getting $40 back!
- In addition to your 5% cash back, you also get more cash when you leave reviews. Each review varies. I’ve seen some reviews give me up to $10 cash back!
Just to give you an idea on how much you can save, take a look at my savings. I recently purchased a home and needed to refurbish it as I didn’t have much decor to begin with. I got my membership on December 11, 2019. Since my membership, I’ve earned nearly $200! This is not even including additional cash back you can get when pairing with other cash back program (read below):

Overstock.com is partnered with Rakuten’s Ebates program! Their usual cash back is 2% on all purchases. But sometimes they have extra cash back especially around holidays (Black Friday’s a big one) where I’ve seen cash back as high as 12%!
