My Zimmermann Dupes Haul: Honest Review – Are They Worth the Price?

Hello lovers of Zimmermann! The wait is finally over and I’m here to share my first Zimmermann dupes haul after doing some extensive searching and researching across the four-corners of the internet (LOL)!

So in this post I’m going to go over all the pieces I purchased this month from various sellers and compare them with the real Zimmermann ones (which I also have). I’ll provide all links and price and you can use your discretion on whether you want to purchase them or not! By the way feel free to message me if any of the links no longer work! The Matchmaker tiger-print silk midi dress

I’ve been eyeing the Matchmaker Tiger-Print Silk Midi Dress for a really really long time! I love the large bow with the long tails details placed just under the bustline which acts as the waist belt for the dress. The dress is strapless so if your bustline is on the smaller end you may want to get a size down so that the waist is a bit tighter and will prop the dress up.

I’m a huge fan of the fit-and-flare midi dress so this was a must for my wardrobe! Take a look at the photos below, this is the exact dress I received and it looks and feels JUST LIKE the original one! The dress is not lined but honestly doesn’t need it. It is thick enough that it’s not see-through.

Also the bottom hem of the dress has a foot or so wide thick mesh (I think its a thin piece of plastic wrapped and intact with mesh) that keeps the flare shape of the dress. If this part of the dress happens to bend, you can easily reshape it by gently ironing it with a cloth in between the dress and the iron, or steaming the dress will do as well.

Overall this dress is a total 10 out of 10 in terms of a Zimmermann dupe! The bow, fabric and tags are on par. Heck, even the hanger strings have the ZIMMERMANN logo written on them! Definitely worth the buy and the sizing also matches that of the real dress.

The Chintz Wrap Midi Dress

I’m pretty sure I saw Jennifer Coolidge wearing this exact dress on a Discover-It commercial and the dress she wore looked very familiar. Turns out, she was wearing the Chintz wrap midi dress! I love the pattern and the balloon, puff sleeves so I had to get this one myself!

When I first received this dress in the mail I was a bit disappointed at first because it arrived wrinkled and I thought the fabric was pretty thin. I was worried it was going to be see-through. So first of all, the real dress IS in fact made of thin material and it is 100% made of cotton just like this dupe! It even feels exquisite!

After steaming the dress and removing all its wrinkles, I was able to admire how beautiful this dress actually is. To me, this looks like an exact dupe of the real dress. The puff, balloon sleeves have an elastic band at the wrist hem, Also the trim and belt fabric are doubled up and have both a front and back print, whereas the rest of the dress has a front print only.

I’m also going to give this one a 10 out of 10. The material is just like the original version, And the details are exactly the same! I recently wore this dress to a dinner date with Michael and friends and got so many compliments!

The Luminosity Liftoff floral-print linen-blend dress

The Luminosity liftoff floral-print linen-blend dress just looked so pretty and unique with the floral details around the neck and sleeves! It’s different – in a good way – in that it’s something I haven’t seen before, and the dress felt so artistic. There’s the shorter version (and also a lighter colored version) but I went with the midi length as that tends to suit me better.

Also I love that it’s got a belt! I love any dress that accentuates the waistline with a belt. The Luminosity Zimmermann dupe comes with a thick, corded belt with 3D flower applique in the center (its adjustable) and on either ends of the rope belt.

Here’s the dress I actually received:

The dress even comes with matching colored interior care tag so that it doesn’t show through the dress (just like the original!) and this dress is fully lined with a detachable lining camisole slip dress. The empty bag in the photo above had the belt in there, but I took it out and placed it on the dress to show you what it looks like when complete.

This is another 10 out of 10 dress! The details are exactly as the real one and its made of the same materials. It feels expensive! Also, similar to the Matchmaker tiger dress above, this dress features a thick plastic-like hem sewed in between the fabric to give it its fit-and-flare shape. If it gets bent or wrinkled, you can easily take out the creases by either ironing it or steaming.

The Raie Scallop Peplum Top

While I did not get the matching pants to this set, the Raie scallop peplum top was too cute to pass up!

I wasn’t a huge fan of the pants especially if it were to go with the top since I didn’t like that it was too matchy-matchy. It looks like the model is wearing pajamas to be honest.

The top features some boning with thick scallop threaded embroidery for the lining (top and bottom) also the straps are adjustable (just like the original!) and the flare at the peplum bottom does keep it’s shape. The fabric is surprisingly thick and well cut. Even the cloths hanging strings have the ZIMMERMANN logos printed on. The quality, to me, is that of the real one.

Check out the top that I received. This needed some steaming as it arrived wrinkled but when it is made of linen and cotton you’re going to expect some wrinkling:

I’m also going to give this top a 10 out of 10 (I’ve been giving a lot of 10’s lately! But I’m very particular about my dupes!)

The Matchmaker Lift Off Midi Dress

And last but certainly not least, the Matchmaker lift off midi dress in blue floral was also on my bucket list of dresses to buy!

I love the embellished 3D floral applique details all over the dress, especially along the sleeve and bottom hem. I’m a sucker for peplum so when I saw the half-sleeves peplum detail I immediately fell in love! The dress isn’t too snug so if you want, you can pair it with a thin waist belt to accentuate the waist a bit more. In addition, this dress comes with a detachable lining that is of the same color as the dress. And it’s also well made and of the same materials as the real dress.

I also found the dress measurements to be on par with the original as well. So be sure to check your measurements correctly before you purchase. It is meant to be slightly loose, If you want a more snug fit (that your bust can bare), then going a size down would be best.
