My Favorite Picks for that “Girl Boss” Chic office
I’ve always envisioned having an office customized to my liking. Everyone has their own style, but mine tends to be the cliché, decked out, pink “girl boss” office we see all too often on Pinterest. I had so many chic office decor ideas running through my head that it was difficult at times to choose what I wanted to decorate my office with.
When I first purchased my home, my office was on the top of my list of rooms I wanted to remodel and decorate. It is so freeing to live by oneself and I know it is a huge privilege these days and I am forever grateful of it. And since I work from home, I wanted a room that caters to my style and my needs.
Let me just start by setting the tone of this post with a collage of my style:
I’m envisioning pinks, whites, beiges, fluffiness, florals and gold tones. I normally like to stick to a white and/or gray colored room base and add color by furnishing the room with furniture, decor and wall art.
1. Floor Lamp
My first go-to piece is a simple yet elegant floor lamp. Let’s kick things off with a statement piece that brings both style and functionality to your space. A sleek floor lamp with gold hardware adds a touch of elegance while providing the perfect lighting for those late-night hustle sessions.
Some of my favorite styles include an adjustable arch, but if you have one tall enough, adjusting isn’t necessary:
LEFT: Possini Euro Raymond Warm Gold Adjustable Boom Arc Floor Lamp
MIDDLE: 360 Lighting Serra 64″ Warm Gold Chairside Arc Offset Arm Floor Lamp
RIGHT: 360 Lighting Cora 72″ High Brass Metal Modern Arc Floor Lamp
2. A Tufted Chaise
If you’ve got the space, add a tufted chaise of your style in a corner somewhere. I like to place mine closest to a window, near my floor lamp. It makes for the perfect reading and corner nook area.
I love taking an hour or two a day to sit on my chaise lounge (especially on a rainy day) and read for a bit. I detach from the world and enjoy a good self-help book!
Here’s a few of my favorite styles I found at affordable price:
LEFT: Button-Tufted Chaise Lounge Chair with Bolster Pillow, Luxury Upholstered with Solid Wood Legs
MiddLE: Jennifer Taylor Home Samuel Tufted Roll Arm Chaise Lounge, Ash Rose Pink Velvet
RIGHT: Christopher Knight Home Chaise Lounge, Polyester and Birch Wood
BOTTOM: Small Loveseat Sofa Couch Swivel Barrel Chairs for Bedroom with 3 Pillows
3. Fan and Chandelier in One
I always wanted a chandelier in my office, but I wanted something practical as well. I found a perfect chandelier and fan-in-one which comes in handy for those hotter days where I’m not quite ready to turn the AC on. What I love about this chandelier fan light is that when you’re not using the fan portion,
it retracts back into itself giving the illusion of only a chandelier in place. There are many options, although I find that with these retractable ones, the wing spans are not as long. But if you’re hanging it directly above you, you should have an issue getting cool air blown at you.
Some ceiling fan and chandelier combo options:
LEFT: Heatherly 36” Ceiling Fan with Light Kit
MIDDLE: Fortin 42” Ceiling Fan with LED Lights
RIGHT: Lalla Ceiling Fan with Remote Control and Light Kit Included
4. Floral Arrangement(s)
Nothing gets me more excited than putting together a bouquet of beautiful flowers in a vase picked out just for my office aesthetic. While I do occasionally go for real batch of flowers, I’m more of a faux flower arrangement type of gal. I don’t have the time or patience in my busy life to take care of and refresh real flowers. I rather place them and set them somewhere in my home!
So I have two online marketplaces where I frequent: Shein and Aliexpress.
If you know what vase you want to use, finding matching floral arrangements its a breeze. Here are some of my top picks on flower bouquets (you may need to purchase more than one depending how full and big you want your bouquet to be!):
LEFT: Silk Rose Bouquet Hydrangea Peony Faux Bouquet
TOP RIGHT: Peony Flowers Silk Hydrangea Bouquet Wedding Decoration
BOTTOM RIGHT: Peony Candy Box Arrangement Silk Rose Bouquet
5. A Spacious Desk
When it comes to an office space, I absolutely must have a desk that is spacious and deep enough to fit all my essentials. I usually have one or two other monitors so I need a large enough desk to space it all out.
My favorite type of desk is an L shaped one. I love glass as I find them to be sturdy and pretty! The L shape is useful too because I can have shelving to the side of me. It’s also a good way to hide any cables if you have a desk that you place in the middle of your office room (which is my current setup).
Here are some of my top picks (I love this style and actually own the first one despite the steep price tag):
LEFT: Kelford 59.25” Desk
MIDDLE: Demetra 55” Desk
RIGHT: Gamache Reversible L-Shape Desk
6. Pink Curtains & Decor
If pink is not your color, this post may not be up your alley. But if you’re a pink lover such as me, there are endless options to choose from!
As I mentioned earlier, I stick to a bare bones plain colored room (white or light gray), and I use decor to add color to my room. I often do this with things such as curtains, and knick-knack items that I felt called to me!
Some pink curtain styles:

TOP RIGHT: Riley Window Curtain Panels – Lush Décor
BOTTOM RIGHT: Amiyah Polyester Room Darkening Curtain Panel
7. Office Essentials
Last but not least, are my office essentials. These are things such as staplers, desk mats, paper holders, cases, wires, etc.
You can’t go wrong with having these in your office. If you’re looking for cute but cheap, yet unique office supplies, check out Shein or Aliexpress!
TOP LEFT: Paper Letter Tray Organizer with File Holder 4-Tier Desk Accessories with Drawer
TOP RIGHT: Pink Modern Abstract Design Desk Mat With Extra Large Mouse Pad, Cute Keyboard Mat
BOTTOM LEFT: Lotus Pink Mini Desk Calendar
BOTTOM MIDDLE: Cactus Design Pen Holder
BOTTOM RIGHT: Multicolor Memo Pad 3 Size Adhesive Notepad Decal Scrapbooking
There are way too many options to choose from. Especially when it comes to the office essentials. I just offered a handful of ideas and cute things I found while I browsed and shopped for my own office.
Hopefully this post has given you some inspiration if you’re also decorating your own into that Instagram and Pinterest perfect chic office space!
