How I Styled The Leo Lin Suffolk Bustier Dress

I’ve always had an obsession with bustier dresses. It is one of my favorite styles to wear because I love pairing a fit and flare dress with a waist belt. The great thing about bustier dresses such as the Leo Lin’s Suffolk Dress is that it comes with one already!

Leo Lin is a designer I recently discovered through Poshmark! I was browsing at a posher’s (seller’s) closet looking at any other listings of theirs I may be interested in purchasing as a bundle, and that’s when I eyed this beautiful orange/tan bustier midi dress!

Who or What is Leo Lin?

According to their website, Leo Lin is a “Sydney-based women’s clothing brand recognized for its feminine style, quality craftsmanship, and luxurious feel is inspired by Australian art and culture”.

I find Leo Lin’s patterns and style of clothing very similar to the Zimmermann and Oscar de la Renta brands, but at usually half or less than half the price (still expensive though!). They use high quality fabrics such as linen and cotton, and pastel and watercolor-like floral patterns. It’s very feminine and flattering which is what drew me to this brand!

How I Styled the Dress

I wore this dress while in Dubai so I was a little hesitant walking around with my shoulders exposed. Although I think Dubai is pretty progressive throughout most of its city (minus the mosques and related places of worship, I suppose). So I styled it with a jean jacket that had some crystals and embroidery embellished on the back, but really any denim and slightly cropped jean jacket would have paired super well with this dress.

I wore my most comfortable thick strappy, nude colored heels by Joie.

I also paired it with my YSL Saint Laurent Uptown Clutch – small enough to hold my phone and other small essentials.

For jewelry and accessories I had on my Hermes Clic H Bracelet in Rose (check out Gilt – they sell many authenticated pre-owned ones there for a great price!) and a Van Cleef Alhambra pendant necklace.
