Bridgerton-Inspired Baby Shower Decor Ideas: Elegant and Timeless Tips for Your Celebration

My friend is expecting a baby girl next month, and I couldn’t be more excited! We recently celebrated with a fabulous baby shower, and I had the honor of helping out with the baby shower decorations and event planning. It was such a blast, and seeing her glowing with happiness made all the effort totally worth it. Let me tell you all about it!

Pinterest Inspiration

My friend had a fully loaded Pinterest board with lots of inspiration and idea for me to go with. This Pinterest board gave me a lot to work with when it came to picking out the perfect baby shower decorations to add to her party.

Her main colors she wanted to go with were shades of pink & purple, gold, white, and beige. I can totally work with this!

So with this Pinterest board in mind I had a pretty good idea of what she wanted, and went to work, finding the decor and other things she would need for her baby shower.

The essentials

With a gathering like this, there’s going to be some necessary essentials. Things like plates, cup, utensils, display platters and such depending on the type of food that you’ll be serving.

Her Pinterest board consisted of finger foods and small bites. We separated out the main dishes with the desserts. In fact we had the desserts as its own table. We decided on things such as chocolate covered strawberries and fruit parfaits.

For main dishes, we went with all sorts of food items such as burgers and hot dogs, chicken nuggets, salads, pasta salads, and bacon wrapped plantains (very delicious!).

My two online go-to shopping sites are Amazon and SheIn when it comes to party decor. I bought these cute plastic plates and utensil set which I thought were perfect for my friends party theme – The set came with large entree plates and smaller dessert plates along with spoons, knives and forks. I got these in bulk at Amazon for such a good price!

I also found these adorable napkins that say “baby girl” on them, and then of course had to get small forks for finger food and desserts. While browsing on SheIn, I found these good tipped mini skewers which I thought would go perfectly with chocolate covered strawberries or for individual berries to go with cocktails (more on that below).

Now that I got the essentials out of the way, let’s go over some of the fancy drink glasses and stands I got to display the finger foods and to showcase some of the signature drinks that day!

Food Spread Decor & Glassware

We had so many drink ideas but ultimately chose three signature drinks & cocktails to make:

1. Mimosas – Grapefruit, Fruit Punch, Orange and Pineapple
2. My friend’s mother-in-law’s signature rum punch
3. Strawberry Rose

Here’s some plastic glassware I picked out for the drinks above. The flutes paired perfectly with the Strawberry Rose. We handed those out as people arrived. The signature rum punch went well with the martini glasses as I had extra gold toothpick skewers and decided to add some berries and place them in with the punch. And finally, mimosas were served in these miniature plastic wine goblet glasses.

All of these plastic glasses were the perfect size to offer drinks to the friends and family at the baby shower. I especially loved the rum punch martini – here’s how the rum punch martini glasses turned out (using some of the leftover gold skewers and berries):

And as for the food platters and display trays, I found some nifty gold tone riser sets and also ordered a few of these clear, acrylic tiered risers to display the berry parfait we had planned to make. Also I ordered these plastic square dessert cups for our berry and yogurt parfaits. The whole set up looked so adorable!

The Flowers

Hands down this is my favorite part of the decorating process! I scoured many types and styles of faux floral decor. There’s honestly so much to choose from.

The quality of the faux flowers will depend on your price point and where you shop for them. If you want super high quality, my go-to spots are places like Hobby Lobby and At Home. They are a little on the pricier side but you get what you pay for. But on the other side of the spectrum are the cheap looking ones with small bunches and hardly any detail. Low quality floral batches are usually found at places like General Dollar or Dollar Tree.

But for middle of the road, decent quality floral arrangements, my usual spots are SheIn, Amazon or – if you have the time to wait for your shipment – AliExpress. I bought most of the arrangements and vases on SheIn, including most of the vases for her baby shower.

To go with her theme, I got a variety of pink roses, hydrangeas, tulips and more. Here’s a few of the ones I ordered.

And as for the vases, I went affordable and light as I had to transport these. Also I wanted vases that wouldn’t break in the event they were toppled over. SheIn also has very good and affordable vases made of plastic.

BUUUUTTTTTT… i DID have this super adorable and LARGE ceramic ginger jar that I scooped up on a random shopping adventure at a nearby HomeGoods store. I decided to bring this along with me to the baby shower, but not before I decorated it before storing it very carefully in my car.

I used the cherry blossom faux flower vines and the and the hanging pink orchid faux flowers (I listed where to buy these above). To keep it altogether, I had to use a hair tie to wrap the stems together, then spread them apart around the ginger jar opening. I then placed the cherry blossom vines in the middle. I wish I had bought more but in the picture above I had only purchased 5 cherry blossom stems. I should have bought more as I think it would’ve looked nicer if it were fuller.

Buy why is it so difficult to find large ceramic/porcelain ginger jars online? Is it because they’re expensive and too bulky to ship out? The ones above were the best and closest to the ones I found at HomeGoods that I used for my friends baby shower decor centerpiece. You may find better luck shopping at your local TJMaxx, HomeGoods, or Marshalls.

Baby Girl Shower Decor

Lastly, we needed decor that really emphasized that we were celebrating a mother-to-be!

My friend is having a baby girl, so lots of pink (by her request) baby decorations. Here are some things I picked out for her baby shower:

Balloons and/or floral arrangements are a must for a baby shower. We put together a balloon arch for her and her husband when opening up presents. And the drapes and cheesecloths we used in conjunction with table cloths do give it a more elegant and feminine look. It’s these little details that make the decor seem more lavish and expensive. But in total, the table cloths, drapes and cheesecloths cost me a total of around $30, more or less.

Also those baby boxes turned out much better than expected! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I made a batch of small colored balloons and added a few into each box and stacked them on top of one another. Those baby boxes baby shower decor were well worth it!
